Your prompt

Overhead top-down shot of a pale oak desk, lit bright and even, with a pair of hands entering from the lower edge. The hands {{action}}, completing the movement once, slowly and legibly, in the centre of the frame. Everything else on the desk is cleared away, leaving generous empty space around the action so the eye goes straight to it. The camera holds a locked-off position squarely overhead, the desk surface perfectly parallel to the frame. Soft, broad overhead diffusion keeps shadows faint and open, with a gentle falloff toward the corners of the frame. Colour is clean and neutral with a slight warm bias in the wood.
Audio: A calm narrator says: {{narration-line}}. Underneath, quiet office room tone with a faint air hum. Aspect ratio: {{aspect-ratio}}.

How to use it

Explainer shots fail when they try to show two ideas at once, so keep to a single action and let the narration carry the rest. Keep your narration line under twenty words for an 8s clip, proportionally shorter if you pick 6s or 4s. Negative prompt (a Vertex AI parameter, written as plain nouns): subtitles, captions, text overlay, watermark, clutter. Because video models render text unreliably, add any on-screen labels, callouts or UI chrome afterwards in your editor rather than asking Veo to generate them — this is the single most common way explainer generations get wasted. That parameter is undocumented in the Gemini API, so if you are generating in the Gemini app or Flow you may have no negative field at all — in that case lean on the positive description alone.
